These are the three C words that will support you in feeling fabulous and allow you to shift your perspective so that you feel calmer & more connected. You ask how do I do this ... I’m about to tell you ☺️

 

Let’s begin with Curiosity and why we use this first. Being curious can support YOU in shifting your understanding of why someone is behaving the way they do and the capacity they have in making choices. When we look at things from a place a curiosity we can remove some of the emotions we feel towards that person. It is condoning their behaviour however by being curious about the HOW & WHY they are behaving in this way can lessen the emotional stress that is weighing on you… it can remove the attachment of personalisation that it is because or about you they are behaving in this way. We can also use curiosity to be reflective as to our own behaviour and the way we react to our experiences.

 

When we allow a space and lens for curiosity, it can support us to feel compassion for ourselves and others. If we think about how we view others we can start to understand that our own thoughts are not necessarily true. It’s important to remember that our Thoughts are sentences made up of a bunch of words and we attach emotion to these thoughts. You can break down your thoughts, change the sentences and even delete or add words to change the meaning which will allow you to shift perspective, this can support you to feel more compassion for self and others. When we allow ourselves to shift our perspective/assumptions we can provide ourselves with a space that is kinder and less judgmental.

 

Connection is the next step, when we allow ourselves the opportunity to sayings from a place of kindness and compassion and curiosity we can feel more connected, not only connected to others, but also connected to ourselves. Connection is the cornerstone for wellbeing, emotional, physical, and especially for our mental health. Connection to ourselves and others can provide us with the opportunity to feel we are a part of the wider community, to feel that we are aligned with purpose.
